The Calibration Column from IPS Automation is a precision measuring accessory used to
verify and calibrate the flow rate of chemical dosing pumps and metering pumps. It is typically
installed on the suction side of the pump and provides a clear, graduated chamber that allows
operators to measure the actual volume of liquid drawn by the pump over a fixed time period.
This helps confirm whether the pump is delivering the required dosing rate accurately.
Calibration columns are widely used in chemical dosing systems where accurate injection of
treatment chemicals, additives, disinfectants, corrosion inhibitors, pH adjusters, or process
fluids is critical. During operation, the column is filled with the dosing liquid, isolated from the
storage tank, and the pump draws fluid from the column. The level drop on the graduated scale
is then used to calculate or verify the actual pump output. This makes calibration columns a
simple, reliable, and cost-effective tool for maintaining dosing accuracy in manufacturing and
process applications.
