The Injection Quill from IPS Automation is an industrial instrumentation accessory designed to
introduce chemicals, additives, inhibitors, or treatment fluids directly into the center of a process
pipeline. By extending the injection point into the main flow stream, the quill helps achieve better
chemical dispersion, improved mixing efficiency, and reduced contact of concentrated chemicals
with the pipe wall. This is especially important in applications where corrosive or reactive
chemicals are dosed into water, oil, gas, steam, or process fluid lines.
Injection quills are commonly used with chemical dosing systems, metering pumps, and process
injection packages. They can be supplied in fixed, removable, or retractable designs depending
on the pressure, maintenance requirement, and application severity. Material selection is based
on chemical compatibility, pressure, temperature, and process conditions, with common options
including stainless steel, PVC, PVDF, Hastelloy, and other corrosion-resistant materials.
