The Sight Flow Glass from IPS Automation is an industrial pipeline observation device used to
visually monitor the flow of liquids, gases, steam, chemicals, and other process media inside a
pipeline. It provides operators with a clear viewing window to check flow presence, flow
direction, colour, clarity, consistency, foam formation, and possible contamination without
opening or interrupting the pipeline. Sight flow glass units are commonly used in manufacturing
and process plants where quick visual confirmation of process flow is important for safety,
quality control, and maintenance.
A sight flow glass is typically installed directly into the pipeline with flanged, threaded, or welded
connections. Depending on the application, it may be supplied with single-window, double
window, full-view, or tubular designs, along with optional flow indicators such as rotors, flappers,
balls, or drip tubes. The transparent glass section allows plant personnel to identify abnormal
conditions such as no-flow, reverse flow, air locks, partial blockages, colour changes, or
suspended impurities at an early stage.
