pipe or chamber installed inside the vessel, allowing the liquid level inside the well to match the
actual vessel level while reducing the effects of turbulence, waves, foam, agitation, vortex
formation, and surface disturbances.
Stilling wells are commonly used with radar level transmitters, guided wave radar, ultrasonic
level transmitters, float-based instruments, displacers, and other level measurement devices. By
isolating the transmitter from unstable surface conditions and providing a cleaner measurement
